How to choose your jewelry
The jewels are purchased to beautify and highlight the parts of the human body they adorn, such as hands, ears, neck, etc., and it is advisable to choose jewels with an appropriate design to best enhance one's appearance. This guide is intended to give you simple tips to choose the most suitable form of jewelry for you.
Earrings
The earrings add interest and enliven a face with their shape and color. Usually, the earrings tend to widen the face because the observer's eyes are guided to move from right to left and do not face up or down. For an oblong face a pair of wide and round earrings is more suitable in order to widen the face, instead a pair of long and thin earrings are suitable for a thin face. The aim is always to balance the profile of the face with the most appropriate form of earrings.
Necklaces
The necklaces are closely related to the face, as they can change the perception of the shape of the face and that of the neck. A choker is ideal for a thin face or neck, on the contrary they are not suitable for a round face or a thick neck, as they tend to make it look wider. Necklaces from 45 to 60 cm (18 to 24 inches) produce a V-shaped effect that slims the face and does not fit an oblong face. Longer necklaces, creating a vertical effect, make the body appear taller and slenderer.
Brooches
A truly versatile jewel are the brooches that can be freely placed to accentuate or break a line, for example a brooch placed in the center of a dress has a slimming effect.
Bracelets
A long, slender arm can also wear a lot of bracelets together, while a showy, freely falling bracelet makes an arm appear thinner. Bracelets should not be worn too tightly as they can be annoying first of all and then make the wrist look too big.
Rings
Among the most sought-after jewels there are undoubtedly rings, their shape and style can influence the appearance of the hand. A ring with a circular shape can accentuate the length of the hand, while an oval and generally elongated ring makes the hand appear shorter.
